2 Hydraulic Service Mechanic / Millwrights

Pertinent Details:  Full time career opportunity with a very large International company, specializing in the development & manufacturing of hydraulic presses and production systems around the world. Must have ability to travel globally (possession of a valid passport).  

Location:  Canadian HQ – Windsor, ON

Job Description:

Role is focused around the manufacturing of the new equipment.  However, the main duties will be installation at the customer sites as well as upgrade and repair to existing equipment at the customer site across North America

  • Work under direction of Service Manager and Plant Manager
  • Installation and commissioning of complete hydraulic press lines
  • Provide hydraulic and mechanical service and support for hydraulic presses and related equipment at customer sites across North America
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance and test equipment
  • Provide operations and maintenance training to customers
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical equipment in fast paced production environments
  • Develop solutions on site with the support of the team in Windsor and German Headquarters 
  • Supervision on site of installation and maintenance personnel provided by the customers
  • Installing and repairing pumps, valves, cylinders, etc. 

Qualifications:

  • Certified Industrial Millwright or equivalent, a definitive asset
  • Three (3)+ Years’ practical experience as a Millwright / Mechanic 
  • Readiness for travel activity. Able to travel globally. Anticipated travel 50% of time. 
  • Experience in an industrial setting
  • Experience with heavy duty machines processing plastic materials would be beneficial 
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems would be an asset
  • Familiarity with European and North American hydraulic drawings and schematics Creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a challenging and changing environment
  • Good understanding of new and old hydraulic systems
  • Initiative and leadership skills
  • Enjoy working in a team
  • Able to work under pressure and be flexible
  • Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Foreign language skills are an advantage
