2-3 Mold Process Technicians

Location:  Amherstburg, ON

Pertinent Information:  

  • Direct Hire 
  • All three shift rotation (one steady day shift available)
  • Non-union – hourly roles
  • Overtime after 44 hours Monday to Friday; 40 hours on a Saturday
  • Ability to supervise set-up workers

Job Description:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Process Technician is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining process parameters to ensure daily production and new product schedules are met. Key resource and lead in resolving critical process issues and ongoing chronic problems. 

  • Establish and maintain all process parameters
  • Establish and maintain process requirements for new tryouts
  • Develop and maintain customer/supplier and material requirements for current and tryout processes
  • Set-up and implement extended tryout processes
  • Assist in new fixture and tooling implementation
  • Provide processing shift support including troubleshooting
  • Responsible for poke yoke verifications
  • Work effectively with Production Supervisors, Process Engineers, and Set up personnel
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Rotate through all three shifts 
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned or required.
  • Act in compliance with the company Health & Safety policies and procedures including any applicable legislation
  • Notify the appropriate personnel of any situation or condition that may contribute to product or system non-conformity
  • Comply with the Environmental Policy and contribute to its goals and objectives accordingly
  • Understands and maintains information security requirements for access to secure or 

otherwise confidential information of the company, its customers and suppliers


  • Require two or more years technical diploma or equivalent work experience 
  • Require two-four years of technical experience in plastic injection molding with ability to troubleshoot 
  • Above-average Microsoft Office skills
  • Must be self motivated and work well with minimal supervision
