Compensation: $80-120K (dependant on portfolio of contacts / industry) + benefits + bonus. Commission to be discussed.
Job Description:
The Sales Advisor / New Business Development will work alongside the existing sales and estimating team to secure work, assist in collecting payment, support the customers and support the company program management team. Duties to include but not limited to the following:
- With a territory of Canada, will travel to potential customer facilities to obtain new work, by showcasing and conducting presentations on companies products/services – particularly the “new tooling” division
- Develops contacts and relationships with potential and existing customers and keeps records and continuously monitors these contacts and relationships. Acts as liaison between sales and other departments internally.
- Provide support to the program management team – assist in collecting PO’s, finalizing pricing and money collections
- Provide support in customer meetings as required
- Research and develop new customers outside of the automotive industry (ie. pharmaceutical, greenhouse etc).
Qualifications:
- A “Junior” candidate will possess a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years experience in a Sales / NBD role and a more “Senior” candidate will possess a minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years in a Sales, Account Management and New Business Development.
- Candidate will bring a contact portfolio of potential customers from varying industries.
- A technical degree or diploma would be highly beneficial, but not required. The role is technical in nature, but the hiring employer will train.
- Required hours are flexible (start time and finish time), however usually range about 45-50 hours/week.
- Ability to travel all of Canada to customer site’s is a mandatory requirement. Hiring employer will provide company card and reimburses travel expenses with receipts.
- Will be provided a company laptop and cell phone.
