Wage: $55,000 – $60,000/year.

Job Description
Directly supporting the Logistics Department, the Box Truck Driver is responsible for transporting material amongst company facilities in the Windsor area in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing facilities.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
- Input data into our system (PLEX) as needed, for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects, accidents or violations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years driving experience.
- Must hold a valid D license.
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly – may require longer trips from time to time.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations – must have clean drivers abstract.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Take necessary measures to keep area clean on a daily basis.
- Ensure that proper paperwork is completed as required.
- Perform any other duties as required pursuant to the function of this position as directed.
