Job Description
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the AP Clerk is responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Review, verify, and accurately enter accounts payable invoices
- Match invoices with tickets, purchase orders, and packing slips
- Maintain organized hard copy and digital filing systems
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to ensure accounts payable processes run efficiently
- Communicate with suppliers regarding invoicing and payment inquiries
- Manage weekly payment schedules and prepare EFT remittances and cheques
- Identify opportunities to evaluate and improve current processes
- Assist with additional office and bookkeeping duties as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting
- Minimum one (1) year of accounting experience.
- General bookkeeping knowledge, including exposure to intercompany transactions
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Ability to commute/relocate:
Windsor, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
Secondary School (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Post secondary education in accounting (required)
