Accounts Payable Clerk

Pertinent Information: MATERNITY LEAVE COVERAGE – 12 – 18 month contract.

Steady days, Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Full details to be provided at time of interview.

Wage: $22-25/hr depending on experience

Job Description

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the AP Clerk is responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Review, verify, and accurately enter accounts payable invoices
  • Match invoices with tickets, purchase orders, and packing slips
  • Maintain organized hard copy and digital filing systems
  • Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to ensure accounts payable processes run efficiently
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding invoicing and payment inquiries
  • Manage weekly payment schedules and prepare EFT remittances and cheques
  • Identify opportunities to evaluate and improve current processes
  • Assist with additional office and bookkeeping duties as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting
  • Minimum one (1) year of accounting experience.
  • General bookkeeping knowledge, including exposure to intercompany transactions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel
  • High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines

Ability to commute/relocate:

Windsor, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Post secondary education in accounting (required)
