Bookkeeper

Pertinent Information: Full-time, direct hire position. 100% in-office position. Full details to be provided at time of interview.

Wage: $28-32/hr.

Location: Windsor, ON.

Job Description

Responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall accounting operations of the organization. This role plays a key part in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the company.

Financial & Accounting Duties

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and issue invoices and payment records
  • Record journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
  • Support budgeting and cash flow tracking
  • Prepare HST/GST filings and assist with payroll remittances where applicable
  • Coordinate with external accountants during audits and year-end preparation

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized digital and physical financial files
  • Respond to vendor and internal accounting inquiries
  • Assist with process improvements and implementation of accounting procedures
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or similar platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience handling multiple accounts, entities, or cost centers is considered an asset
