Administrative Assistant

Pertinent Information: Full-time position, steady days. Our customer is willing to accommodate 30 hours per week (6 hours/day), should a candidate be interested in working less. Full details to be provided during the interview process.

Wage: $20.00 – $24.00/hr depending on experience. Benefits and RRSP matching available after successful completion of probationary period.

Location: Tecumseh, ON.

Job Description

The Administrative Assistant will provide support to a team of Engineers, in order to ensure the efficient operation of the office. Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Maintaining project lists and timesheets
  • Downloading and organizing photographs and site notes
  • Assisting in the preparation and issuance of reports (adding photographs, scanning and sending to clients)
  • Assisting in the preparation and issuance of invoices
  • Developing and maintaining a filing system
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Preparing expense reports
  • Providing general support to visitors
  • General office assistance

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration
  • Minimum two (2) years experience administrative experience in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office – specifically Word and Excel
