Email Marketing Coordinator

Pertinent Details: Direct Hire opportunity with a growing company, specializing in on-line compliance & safety training. Role is 100% remote, but is full time in nature.  This role will have the spectacular opportunity for progressive career advancement into a Supervisor/Manager role for the right person.  

Compensation:  $65-90K

Location:  Austin, Texas  (Preferably located in Austin, Texas, but will accept applicants from Texas, Tennessee and Florida and other surrounding states.)

Job Description:

The Email Marketing Coordinator will own the entire email marketing process — from strategy and campaign creation through to execution, database management, and performance reporting. This role will be responsible for managing and growing an 80,000+ contact database and driving measurable revenue through well-executed email campaigns. Duties to include, but not limited to:

    • Own the end-to-end email marketing process, from campaign strategy and copywriting through to deployment, performance analysis, and optimization.
    • Manage and maintain the 80,000+ contact database, ensuring it is accurately segmented, up to date, and engaged.
    • Build, schedule, and deploy campaigns in ActiveCampaign across all campaign types and lifecycle stages.
    • Monitor and report on key performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, revenue attribution, and list health.
    • Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, send times, and audience segments, applying results to continuously improve performance.
    • Maintain an email marketing calendar aligned with broader business priorities and product launches.
    • Ensure all campaigns comply with email deliverability best practices and relevant regulations.
    • Campaign Development
      • Develop and execute one-off promotional campaigns, lead generation sequences, nurture flows, re-engagement campaigns, and customer retention programs.
      • Write compelling email copy that is on-brand, audience-appropriate, and optimized for engagement and conversion.
      • Build and manage automated workflows and triggered sequences within ActiveCampaign to support the full customer lifecycle.Develop and refine audience segmentation strategies to improve relevance, personalization, and campaign performance.
      • Collaborate with the Content Writer and E-Learning Project Coordinator to align email campaigns with broader content and product initiatives.
    • Database Management
      • Own the 80,000+ contact database — segmentation, hygiene, growth, and ongoing engagement.
      • Develop and implement list growth and lead generation strategies to expand the database and improve contact quality.
      • Monitor list health, manage unsubscribes, and maintain deliverability standards.
      • Use customer data and behavioral signals to inform segmentation, personalization, and campaign targeting.
    • Performance and Optimization
      • Track and report on campaign performance, providing clear analysis and actionable recommendations.
      • Establish performance benchmarks and set measurable goals for each campaign type.
      • Continuously test and optimize campaigns to improve revenue impact and engagement across the database.
      • Identify opportunities to improve automation, workflow efficiency, and overall email program performance.

Qualifications

  • Industry-specific knowledge is not required; the right candidate brings proven email marketing experience, deep proficiency in ActiveCampaign, and a track record of driving results through data-driven campaigns.
  • Proficiency in ActiveCampaign is required — candidates must have hands-on platform experience, not just familiarity with similar tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large email databases, ideally 50,000+ contacts.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and measurable results through email marketing.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write clear, engaging email content independently.
  • Experience with segmentation, automation, A/B testing, and performance reporting.
  • Background in B2B or EdTech email marketing is an advantage but not required.
  • Industry-specific knowledge in safety, compliance, or training is not required.
  • Self-directed and reliable — able to own the full process and deliver results without close oversight.
