Wage: $100-120K (negotiable) + benefit package + discretionary management bonus + possible relocation package
Position Specifics: Direct Hire (full time permanent) role in the Retail, Sales and Service sector (automotive aftermarket accessories, trailers and agricultural equipment). Hours of work will include Monday to Friday (8 a.m – 5 p.m) and alternating Saturdays (8:30 a.m – noon).
The Ideal Candidate will be someone who has managed a service + parts + retail operation in vehicle accessories, Agriculture / Equipment, or similar commercial distribution, with enough technical literacy to troubleshoot aftermarket product issues day to day. (Ie. dealership experience or commercial distributors)
Job Description:
- Collaborates with the ownership to make final decisions on goals and objectives for the store.
- Collaborates with Sales Manager on forecasting and sales objectives.
- Participates, reviews and provides recommendations for the annual operating forecast and budget for the store. Manages operational department expenses.
- Manages the shop work and shop staff. Manages productivity, reviews work and deals with daily issues. Coordinates shop daily schedule. Will be responsible for 8-10 Direct Reports between shop and the office.
- Coordinates with Sales to ensure that Shop and other staff supporting Sales as needed.
- Responsible for hiring, training, motivating, coaching and monitoring the performance of applicable employees.
- Responsible for coordination, the development, implementation and monitoring of Health and Safety programs. Also responsible for housekeeping around the facility/property.
- Inspect, test, and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure government regulations and company policies are followed.
- Performs other duties as required by ownership to ensure the successful operation of the store.
Qualifications:
- A university degree or college diploma in business administration, finance or similar is an definitive asset.
- Minimum ten (10) years experience in retail sales industry, including a minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role.
- Experience working with a technical products is mandatory, with vehicle experience an asset.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to ability to build a customer focused team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal & written English) skills.
