HR Generalist – Recruitment

Pertinent Information: This is a contract position lasting five (5) to seven (7) months +/-. Primary focus of role will be full-cycle recruitment. Full details to be provided at time of interview.

Wage: $24.69/hr

Location: Essex. Position is 100% in-person, must have reliable transportation.

Job Description

Our customer is looking for a Contract Human Resources Generalist with a strong emphasis on full-cycle recruitment. This role will manage the end-to-end recruitment process while also providing general HR support across key functions such as onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Full-Cycle Recruitment (Primary Focus)

  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from workforce planning and job postings to offer negotiation and onboarding
  • Draft, review, and post job descriptions across multiple platforms
  • Source candidates using job boards, social media, referrals, and other creative sourcing methods
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone and video interviews, and coordinate interview schedules
  • Facilitate interview processes and provide guidance to hiring managers on candidate selection
  • Conduct reference checks and support background check processes
  • Prepare and extend employment offers in alignment with company policies
  • Track recruitment metrics and provide regular hiring updates

HR Generalist Responsibilities

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
  • Assist with HR policies, procedures, and compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to HR programs and policies
  • Support employee relations initiatives and performance management processes
  • Assist with benefits administration and HRIS updates as needed
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in an HR Generalist or Recruiter role with strong full-cycle recruitment experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
