Production Operator

Pertinent Information: Direct hire position. Must be able to work rotating shift – days &afternoons on a two week rotating schedule. Full details to be provided during the interview process.

Wage: $25/hr. Comprehensive benefits package.

Job Description

The Production Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of production equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role requires mechanical aptitude to perform machine setups, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality. The Production Operator plays a key role in maintaining equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

  • Supports machine setup and changeovers including tooling installation, adjustments, and calibration to prepare equipment for production runs
  • Operate high-volume manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets
  • Monitor machine performance and make mechanical or operational adjustments to maintain product quality and output
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical, operational, or process issues and escalate more complex problems to maintenance personnel
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance tasks to ensure machines operate reliably
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and identify any defects or deviations
  • Accurately record production data including output, downtime, scrap, and quality checks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow al company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance, and other operators ot improve equipment performance and production efficiency

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience operating and setting up production machinery ni a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machine components, adjustments, and basic mechanical systems
  • Experience performing machine setups, changeovers, and tooling adjustments
  • Ability to read work instructions, production orders, and basic technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
