PERTINENT INFORMATION:
$20.00/hr + weekly hourly incentive which ranges from an extra $4/hr to $6/hr or more.
Full time position with very good potential for hire. Must have your own transportation as plant is located in Harrow (Public transportation not available). Must be able to work all three (3) Shifts on a 2 week rotation – Days/Afternoons/Midnights. Days – 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (+/-), Afternoons – 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (+/-), Mids – 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (+/-) – shift work. Overtime after 44 hours/week.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Working at a “state of the art” steel processing/ tube manufacturing facility, where you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Banding steel tubes; labelling; moving blocks of wood
- Preparing product for shipment as well as other miscellaneous general labour duties
- Writing material descriptions, batch numbers and heat numbers on side of bundles, attaching ID tags to bundle
- Scanning bundles of steel from the line to the storage racks
- Placing material on shunt trailers for transfer
- Miscellaneous warehouse duties
- Clean up duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma is mandatory
- Must have one (1) year minimum experience in an Industrial / Manufacturing environment
- Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred
- Must be willing and able to learn quickly, in a very safe environment
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to adhere to strict safety policies and procedures
- Highly physical position with lots of heavy lifting
