Job Description:
- Develop and revise mechanical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software.
- Maintain accurate records of mechanical systems, components, and modifications. The drawings should be updated and attached to SAP stock room components.
- Support maintenance and engineering teams by providing technical drawings for repairs, installations, and upgrades.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to gather specifications and ensure drawing accuracy.
- Assist in the documentation of equipment changes, upgrades, and retrofits.
- Create and manage drawing files, ensuring proper version control and accessibility.
- Support the creation of work orders and documentation related to mechanical projects.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and applicable safety regulations.
- Perform site visits to verify measurements and gather data for drafting purposes.
- Work safely and enforce workplace safety practices as outlined by Company and OH&SA.
- Verify incoming material from vendors (manufactured components) meet the print design and specifications to ensure efficient installation
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma
- Proficient in CAD Software (AutoCAD)
- Eight (8) years Mechanical Drafting experience
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Machine shop experience preferred
