Regional Sales Engineer / Specialist

Hiring employer is global in their distribution and is reputable and well respected in the community. They are a high production manufacturing facility, that supports the automotive industry. Extensive training will be provided.

Wage: $75,000 – $90,000/year + bonus + comprehensive benefits + double matched pension

Job Description

The Regional Sales Engineer/Specialist manages the business and activities of their assigned geographic area with the objective of growing total sales and profitability.

Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

  • Managing all activities associated with maintaining and growing business within the assigned geographic area.
  • Executing all phases of the Order Creation process, including creating demand for products, lead response & qualification, initiating engineering reviews, determining pricing and supply terms, and generating technical reports and proposals.
  • Performing annual business reviews for existing customers, taking action where conditions necessitate changes in the terms of supply.
  • Development, execution and monitoring of Annual Sales Call Plan and taking action when necessary to adjust the plan as circumstances dictate.
  • Communicating with Operations on demand changes.
  • Resolving issues where the customer is not following the provisions in the proposals, specifically as it relates to planning / demand horizons and payment terms.
  • Execute order review and resolve routine non-conformances or assign the appropriate personnel before order is move to order fulfillment.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with Customer Service personnel to ensure the highest level of customer responsiveness and customer support in sales related matters.
  • Performing quarterly sales analysis and annual forecasting of existing customers.
  • Travel as necessary to support the territory and company objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
