Senior Site Director

Pertinent Details:  Direct Hire career opportunity with a large global CPG manufacturing company, looking for a Senior Site Director for one of their most critical manufacturing locations in North America.  Progressive opportunities exist for the right person.  

Compensation: $190-225K (negotiable) + 25% bonus + comprehensive benefit package + defined contribution plan / pension + re-location package (if needed)

The Senior Director will lead shaping the performance, culture, and long‑term success of the facility. Job description to include, but not limited to:   

  • Lead daily operations for the entire Production Site with thirteen (13) Direct Reports and a facility of over 153 unionized and 267 salaried employees on a three (3) shift operation –  ensuring excellence in manufacturing, production planning, logistics, engineering, and performance improvement.
  • Establish and deliver annual operating, financial, and sustainability targets, partnering closely with site leadership to drive measurable results.
  • Build and develop high‑performing teams by coaching Managers and Supervisors, strengthening collaboration, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement strategies that optimize materials, labor, equipment, and capacity to meet production and customer service commitments.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives, leveraging technology, automation, and digitization to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards—including Occupational Health and Safety requirements and ISO certifications—while driving timely corrective actions.
  • Lead change initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, support Union partnership, and advance the global sustainability objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is mandatory.
  • Must possess eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive experience in operations leadership, including direct responsibility for manufacturing or production environments.
  • Five (5)+ years of experience in a CPG (Consumer Products Goods) manufacturing environment – Food & Beverage industry specific experience (ie. packaged snacks/food, dairy, bottled drinks, distillery /winery, frozen meals, etc.).  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, drive operational excellence, and deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, cost, and performance.
  • Experience implementing Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing practices to achieve sustainable business results.
  • Proven ability to lead change, build strong cross‑functional partnerships, and navigate complex organizational environments.
